Premium Wines Education Events & Classes

Our wine classes offer you the opportunity to supplement the knowledge gained from our wine tastings. Our classes, which are held in our classroom at Garland Wines, feature Emerging Varietals, German, Californian, French, Australian, Italian, and Portuguese wines. We concentrate on the unique qualities of each country, including climate, soil conditions, grape varieties, and wine laws.

And of course we will taste the wines!

Port Tasting
May 23 & 24, 7pm

at Garland Wines

Kopke is the oldest House of Port, founded in 1638 by Christiano Kopke, descendent from a German family originally from Hamburg. It was owned by his family until the end of the 19th century when it was sold to the Bohane family who ruled the company from London until 1953 when the company was sold again to the Barros family, who was already in the wine business.

We will be sampling 8 ports from the spectacular Kopke House of Port.

Please join us either May 23rd or 24th we will begin the tasting at 7:00pm.
